![]() What a way to blast off the new school year 2014-2015 with the involvement of another 16 amazing volunteers! These remarkably capable 10th- and 11th-graders are participating in a municipal-sponsored program whereby they do volunteer work for a total of 60 hours for the year. Their reward? A special kind of Bagrut certificate called a Social Bagrut Certificate, prized for its social implications. At RE-SPECS, students gain other rewards too. In the words of Ayelet, “I think it's important that people get the glasses they need even if they can't afford them, and I'm happy to be a part of that.” Participating Kfar Saba schools include: Ort Shapira, Herzog, Glili and Amana. Raanana schools include: Alon, Aviv and Meitarim.

![]() At the Annual Optometry Conference held at the David Intercontinental Hotel, Tel Aviv, we were introduced to many enthusiastic professionals who were excited to get involved in the RE-SPECS project. Following this great opportunity, we were delighted to welcome on board two amazing new volunteer optometrists, Lubna Khoury and Limor Cohen, who will run our latest branches in Shfar’am and Ramat Yishai respectively. Lubna and Limor - thank you! |
